Food Bank of Lincoln

Food Bank of Lincoln Office and Distribution Center

Located in northwest Lincoln, a 58,000 square foot energy-efficient facility will serve as the headquarters and distribution center for the Food Bank of Lincoln serving the southeast portion of the state. With large windows, skylights, and LED lighting, volunteers and employees will enter an inviting two-story space located on the northeast corner of the building. Distribution trucks will access the facility on the west half of the building through large loading docks where a 40,300 square foot area is designated for food storage, including a large freezer and cooler. This space will allow the Food Bank to accept much larger donations of fresh produce and other nutrient-rich foods they distribute.

Our firm was honored to provide our services for a worthy cause. The goal for this project was to create a facility for compassionate learning and collaboration while conveying the Food Bank's core value of responsibility. With open offices, a classroom for learning, a community room, and a large breakroom, the building will help the Food Bank with its mission to alleviate hunger in southeast Nebraska. Completion of construction is scheduled to take place in May of 2022.
