AKRS Tenant Improvement

AKRS Equipment headquarters occupies the entire second floor in the Fallbrook 643 building in Lincoln, Nebraska. The new office consists of 14,064 SF of open and private offices, conference rooms, office support spaces, and an employee breakroom. Sinclair Hille Architects worked within the existing building constraints to achieve a space plan that addressed the space adjacencies, room sizes, and types of spaces needed by the client.

Because the open office is in the center of the space, the Sinclair Hille team wanted to find a way to maintain exposure to the natural light and greenery for those occupants. This was achieved by utilizing full glass demountable partitions for the offices around the building’s perimeter. Interior finishes, such as the carpet and green paint, were inspired by areal views of Nebraska farmland. Sinclair Hille collaborated with Revolution Wraps on custom wall graphics to create fun and interesting moments throughout the AKRS office suite.

I enjoyed working with SHA on the Canopy Street Project.  It was a very complex project which required both large scale design thought as well as a focus on small details. Their professionalism impressed me as well as all of the other clients in the project from restaurants, to hotel operations through condo buyers, SHA continued to move the project forward and solve problems with all in mind.  As a licensed architect myself I really appreciated their willingness to partner with me and listen to my design ideas while improving the direction time and time again. Quite simply, Canopy Street would not have been nearly as successful without SHA’s talented staff.
