Certified Piedmontese

Corporate Office, Retail and Restaurant

Sinclair Hille Architects provided architectural services to Great Plains Beef for the design of their new corporate campus and headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska.  The signature structure on the property is the corporate headquarters building that houses the offices for the Great Plains Beef team which produces and markets Certified Piedmontese beef, Casa Bovina - a high-end Italian-inspired restaurant, and The Mercato - a specialty food store and butcher shop.  Certified Piedmontese beef products are showcased and sold at both Casa Bovina and The Mercato. The main floor of the headquarters building also includes locker rooms and enclosed parking for employees.

An “agrarian chic” aesthetic that emphasizes the company’s strong connections to ranching is created through the use of natural materials including cedar board and batten, stone, and wood timber columns on the exterior. The “agri-chic” design continues on the interior through the use of painted metal accents, cedar walls and ceilings, and exposed wood roof trusses. Designed utilizing some of the latest technologies in energy efficient design materials and systems, the building achieved LEED Gold Certification.

The campus facilities include two additional buildings designed by Sinclair Hille Architects -  a gym/fitness building for employees with state of the art exercise equipment and a standalone commercial kitchen for RTE (Ready to Eat) meal prep, packaging, and serving of products available at The Mercato.
