Esther Hall

In the summer of 2024, Sinclair Hille Architects together with Beckenhauer Construction completed the renovation of Esther Hall Dormatory at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. The 3 story, 16,500 sq. ft. dorm, was built in 1965, and received its last update in the late 1980's. The project included a full window replacement, insulated the exterior walls, updated finishes throughout and added a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system to the building so that residents can control their room temperatures. Apartment-style RA rooms were also completed. The work was on a tight schedule, and occurred between the end of the spring semester and fall move-in. Sinclair Hille Architects worked closely with Beckenhauer Construction, Inc. to ensure the on-time delivery.

The Concordia University Team has always worked through the design process with Sinclair Hille’s leadership and come away feeling like our project priorities were understood. Setting overall project goals in the initial design meeting with Sinclair Hille has proven to be a key to our success.
