The Cultural Centers of Lincoln
The Cultural Centers of Lincoln
Sinclair Hille Architects is honored to lead the design of the Cultural Centers of Lincoln, a landmark community facility envisioned as a place where residents from all backgrounds can connect through social services, public resources, and shared experiences. The new center will support and strengthen the work of Lincoln’s individual cultural centers, offering a space to collaborate, exchange ideas, and build meaningful relationships across the broader community. Designed to complement and expand upon existing efforts, the project focuses on creating opportunities for communication, support, and connection among Lincoln’s many cultural groups.
The state-of-the-art facility will be organized around a large outdoor central courtyard, serving as the heart of the building and a vibrant space for cultural exhibitions, performances, and community gatherings. Surrounding this central space will be flexible classrooms, event rooms, and offices that can adapt to a wide variety of programming. The design emphasizes openness, accessibility, and long-term functionality, creating a welcoming environment for both everyday use and special events. Over time, the Cultural Centers of Lincoln aims to become not just a building, but a symbol of collaboration, shared purpose, and connection for the entire city.
