Dunklau Center for Science, Math and Business Hoist the Beam Ceremony
October 4, 2018
An early morning "Topping Out" Ceremony was held at the Dunklau Center for Science, Math and Business.
The final beam, signed by students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends was lifted up into place. "Topping Out" is the term used by ironworkers to indicate that the final piece of steel is being hoisted into place. The project is not yet complete, but it has reached its maximum height. To commemorate this milestone the final piece of iron was hoisted with a small evergreen tree and the American flag.
