Center for Liturgical Art Dedication
On Friday, September 22nd, the Concordia University Nebraska and the Center for Liturgical Art dedicated the Harvey and Carol Lange Studio and Reinhold and Dorris Marxhausen Studio.
Architect Kjersten Tucker said, “I was an Ecclesiastical Art major and worked for the Center for Liturgical Art for 4 years as a student, so this project was deeply personal. I was honored to be asked to design their new facility, and am so glad to see it take shape! Mark and Evan’s special touches—restoring the original mosaic door from the Marxhausen home, the new landscaping that uses found objects from around Seward, the new mural—really bring out the character of the place. We worked hard to create a place that was in the spirit of Marxy’s creative genius, was respectful to its neighbors, and also gave great working space to the Center.”
