Cheers to Caroline Chontos for completing her first year here at Sinclair Hille Architects!
Caroline Chontos, Architectural Associate, brings expertise and passion to her role at Sinclair Hille. Her dedication to the field of architecture has been recognized through prestigious accolades such as the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Henry Adams Medal, which she was honored with in 2023. A distinguished alumna of the University of Nebraska – Lincoln (UNL), Caroline graduated from the M.Arch program, where her talents and commitment to excellence were evident.
During her time at UNL, Caroline distinguished herself as a Campus Ambassador, embodying leadership qualities and actively contributing to the academic community. Her design prowess was celebrated with the 2022 Spell Society of American Registered Architects (SARA) National Design Award, and she further showcased her expertise as a presenter at the 2022 Mass Timber Conference, demonstrating her forward-thinking approach to sustainable architecture.
Caroline is currently working on the new Clyde Malone Community Center in Lincoln, NE, and The Meeting Place Non-profit Organization.
Q: What has been your most memorable moment at Sinclair Hille?
A: “Recently we were able to invite future users of a project into our office to ‘walk through’ their building in our virtual reality (VR) lab. The excitement surrounding what is to come was contagious, and it really validated the work we had accomplished.”
Q: What do you like most about your career field?
A: “I am passionate about architecture because of the daily challenge it provides. It pushes me to be a lifelong student of people and of the built environment.”
